Who made this?

I'm Hugo Thomas, a French writer and director. My first feature film, Willy 1er, premiered at Cannes. Juniors, my second, screened at festivals worldwide. Both are on Netflix. Before that, my shorts Perrault, La Fontaine, Mon Cul! and Ich Bin Eine Tata both won awards at Clermont-Ferrand, the world's largest short film festival.

I've spent years writing: scripts, novels, treatments. The tools never felt right. Word processors weren't built for long-form fiction. Dedicated writing apps were too rigid or too expensive. I wanted something that lived where I already worked: Google Docs.

Why Novel Editor?

Novel Editor started as a personal tool. I wanted chapter navigation, word counts, and manuscript formatting without switching apps. Then I thought: what if the AI actually understood my writing style? Not generic suggestions. Real ones, in my voice.
